Baby steps

It's small, but it feels good to step on the Wii Fit and see some improvement.  Just a small bit of encouragement, but those small bits can add up.

Trying to incorporate more fruit into my diet seems so difficult.  I'm not a huge fruit fan, but give me vegetables any day.  I'm trying, and I'm getting better.  Putting dried fruits, such as blueberries and cherries into salads makes it easier, and making smoothies every day that Sean and I share have been the best steps I've taken to consume more fruit each day.

First Post

I'm riding what seems to be the never-ending roller coaster of dieting, and I've decided to create this blog to help myself track my progress.  Currently, I've been utilizing Livestrong.com and the My Daily Plate feature to help me track my food and fitness, but I feel like writing a journal about my struggles and triumphs will better assist me in this journey.
I've set myself a goal of 15 lbs over the next 3 months.  I'm also holding myself to utilizing my Wii Fit every night, as well as working out 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes each time.  I'm making other attempts as well, such as eating more fruits and vegetables, and cutting out fried foods.  It's a lifestyle change, and I know it won't be easy, but it will be worth the health benefits in the end.
